GBTA-Rocky Mountain Chapter needs the involvement of all its members in shaping its course and directing its activities. Listed below are the standing committees of the Association. Please review the description of each committee’s function and indicate those in which you have an interest or related experience. If you have served on one committee more than twice, consider selecting another committee to broaden experience and exchange ideas. If you have any questions regarding these committees, please contact the Committee Chairs by phone or email.

Membership Committee

Coordinates programs to generate new memberships among qualified personnel. Also provides staffing and special services for Association events, greeting members, helping with registration, etc.

Hospitality Committee
  • Assist with the preparation of name badges from the registration roster prior to the meeting
  • Ensure each new member is personally welcomed by the board and introduced at meetings
  • Arrange and hand out welcome packets to new members.
  • Assist with coordinating activities at the meeting registration table while being available to greet members/guests as they arrive
  • Coordinate the Hospitality Committee and assure that at least two committee members are at each meeting to help check in members and greet guests
  • Facilitate peer networking during meetings
  • Secure a business card drawing prize at meetings
  • Assist with membership calls
  • Assist with entertainment arrangements for events
  • Participate in all scheduled chapter and Board meetings
  • Participate in the development and implementation of short-term and long-term strategy planning for the chapter
  • Annual Networking Happy Hour
  • Year-end prize
  • $400.00 annual goal
  • Assist at fundraiser events
Education and Program Committee

Oversees the Association’s efforts to provide educational opportunities for its membership. Responsible for site selection, securing keynote speakers, and all arrangements for general membership monthly educational meetings and special events (including Education Day).

Publicity / PR / Social Media / Sponsorship - Marketing Committee

Serves as information source for the RMBTA newsletters; directs media relations for the Association.

Philanthropy Committee

Promotes RMBTA’s image and presence as a helping hand in our community by raising funds to support non-profit organizations and assist operations of the Association.

Nominating Committee

Assist in developing and awarding Direct and Allied Member of the Year Award.
