Based on the popular TV show Shark Tank, innovative suppliers get the chance to bring their products before GBTA-RMC audience and our “Sharks” (Travel Managers) who have open minds and discerning eyes when it comes to travel innovations. Through interaction on stage between the pitches and the Sharks, our audience will have the chance to explore new concepts and services in business travel in a professional, dynamic and fun environment. The companies will be trying to convince anyone of the travel managers to invest implementation time in their idea with moderator - Mike Daly, VP Sales, Serko.

 

  

Mike Daly has over twenty-five years in travel technology experience across corporate and leisure markets. After starting his travel career at United Airlines, Mike was instrumental to the development of online booking at GetThere, Travelocity, and Sabre. More recently, Mike helped grow Freebird and Deem in the corporate travel space as SVP Sales and VP of Strategic Partnerships, respectively. In August 2019, Mike joined the DVI Exec Team as an Advisor to drive the growth of the startup’s data intelligence technology and currently serves as the VP of Sales North America for Serko Ltd. 

Mike frequently speaks at industry events, including GBTA, their local chapters, ACTE, ProcureCon, Phocuswright, and BusinessConnect. Mike is also a strong supporter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), the YMCA, and the Children’s Hospital of Georgia. He also coaches various youth sports, including baseball for the Team Georgia Baseball Academy.

Michael Jacques is a travel technology industry veteran with over 30 years of experience. He is a former travel agency owner and over the past 19 years has served in senior management business development roles with the former i:FAO/cytric,  e -travel/Amadeus, Farelogix, Tripware, Databasics and Lumo. Michael recently joined Tramada and brings his passion for innovative solutions to advance corporate travel delivering greater efficiency, content choices and revenue growth. He has participated as a speaker or panelist at industry events, remains active in his local GBTA chapter and formerly served as the Co-Chair of GBTA’s Technology Committee. 

 

     

KRISTINA WEISCHADLE, Head of Business Development, Service Technologies  Kristina Weischadle is currently the head of Business Development for Service Technologies. Prior to joining Service Technologies, she was Senior Director of account management at CWT. In addition, Kristina was the Global Travel Manager for WE Communications, where she built a progressive global travel program focused on optimization and sustainability.

Kristina has over 15 years experience in television news and events industry where she was a producer for MSNBC and CBS News. She has produced a wide array of live comedy and music events ranging from presidential election coverage to the Kennedy Center Mark Twain Awards and Comedy Central’s Friar’s Club Roasts.

She is a recipient of the Columbia University’s prestigious DuPont Award for Outstanding Journalism and a multiple Emmy Award Nominee in the News and Documentary category. Kristina has been recognized with the 2016 GBTA Masters Honors award. A graduate from the University of Oregon, Kristina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. 

  

Brian Beard, President of DVI. Brian is widely known as a key industry influencer and technology trendsetter based on his strong and diverse background that includes leadership roles at GE Power Systems, Toyota, Amadeus, and Travel and Transport. He has led breakthrough projects in transaction processing, supply chain management, large project implementations, data warehousing and business intelligence for e-commerce, mobile and emerging technologies. Brian is an avid technologist that embraces change and believes appropriately implemented technology solves many of today’s problems.

Brian founded Data Visualization Intelligence, Inc. (DVI) in late 2016 to develop a viable solution for the data challenges in the travel industry. The next year, Brian led DVI to win the People’s Choice Business Travel Innovator Award at the yearly BTN Innovate conference.  Brian has spoken at past GBTA and regional BTA events, technology webinars, product launches for major technology companies, BTN events and more. He was recently listed as one of 2018’s top innovators for the Business Travel Industry.

 

   

Chad Costa, Growing up in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania and with over 20 years of sales experience in the travel industry, you can say that travel is in Chad’s DNA. Before joining Traxo, Chad has held numerous strategic sales and leadership roles for American Express Business Travel, Egencia, Expedia Affiliate Network and HRS. His extensive, global sales background covers all market segments from SME to large, global organizations in corporate travel management, hotel distribution and travel technology.

Chad currently lives in Dallas, TX and when he and his daughter are not planning or taking their next Disney vacation, you can find him watching and cheering for the Cubs, Redskins and Islanders.

   

Taylor Lugviel... Taylor has 10 years of professional sales experience in the corporate world with a focus on HR and travel technology. She has a passion for technology that can help clients drive results. As a National Account Executive for Rocketrip, she helps Enterprise clients change the behavior of their employees to be more aligned with company objectives. Her specialty is driving significant travel cost savings while positively impacting company culture and the traveler experience. 
 
Taylor is from Spokane, WA where she attended Gonzaga University with a BA. Currently residing in Chicago, she spends her free time cooking, hanging out with friends, and reading.

 

 

Steve Pham is an Account Executive at TripActions.
